Lip Blush Toronto - Scar & Stretchmark Camoflage
The Future of Skin Colour Correction
Thinking About Scar or Stretchmark Camoflage?
A camouflage tattoo is a specialized tattooing technique used to blend or conceal areas of the skin with imperfections, such as scars, stretch marks, vitiligo, or other types of skin discoloration. It involves tattooing pigments that match the surrounding skin tone to create a natural-looking result.
Scar & Stretchmark
Heres What You Need To Know
Skin camouflage using Nue Conceal is a paramedical tattoo procedure that blends the appearance of stretch marks, scars, and discoloration into the surrounding skin tone. The pigment is custom-matched to your natural skin and implanted into the dermis, reducing contrast and improving overall appearance.
It is suitable for all skin types and tones, including darker Fitzpatrick skin types.
Avoid Tanning or Sunburn
Refrain from tanning or sun exposure for at least 2 weeks before your appointment. Uneven or sun-damaged skin may affect color matching.
Discontinue Retinoids and Exfoliants
Avoid retinol, glycolic acid, AHA/BHA, or any exfoliating products on the treatment area for at least 7–10 days.
No Waxing, Laser, or Peels
Avoid waxing, laser hair removal, microneedling, or chemical peels on the area for 2 weeks before treatment.
Avoid Blood Thinners
Do not take alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oils 24 hours before treatment. These may increase bleeding and pigment rejection.
Stay Hydrated and Moisturized
Well-hydrated and nourished skin responds better to pigment implantation. Moisturize the area regularly in the week leading up to your session.
Clean, Shaved Skin Only
If the area has fine hair, shave gently 24 hours before. Ensure the skin is clean and product-free on the day of the appointment.
Keep It Clean and Dry
For the first 3–5 days, avoid water, sweat, or friction on the treated area.
Do Not Pick or Scratch
Let scabs or dry patches fall off naturally. Picking can lead to scarring or pigment loss.
No Exercise or Sweating
Avoid intense physical activity for at least 5–7 days to prevent moisture buildup and bacteria.
Avoid Tight Clothing
Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid rubbing against the treated area while it heals.
No Sun, Pools, or Saunas
Stay out of direct sunlight, tanning beds, swimming pools, saunas, or hot tubs for at least 3–4 weeks.
Apply Aftercare Ointment if Provided
Use only the healing ointment provided or recommended. Apply a thin layer with clean hands if dryness or itching occurs.
Don’t Use Harsh Products
Avoid retinol, acids, and exfoliants on the area for at least 4 weeks post-treatment.
Most clients require 1–3 sessions to achieve optimal coverage. Camouflage pigment heals differently on everyone, and building color gradually ensures a natural look.
Touch-ups are typically scheduled 6–8 weeks after the initial session, once the skin is fully healed.
Some areas, especially stretch marks, may require more than one layer to blend completely.
The artist will assess how your skin has retained pigment.
Additional pigment is applied to even out the tone, deepen coverage, or correct fading.
Sessions are usually shorter than the first appointment.
Initial pricing often includes 1 session only. Touch-ups are usually priced separately.
A consultation will determine your treatment plan and number of sessions needed.
