Correct Uneven Tones and Hyperpigmentation
Thinking About Lip Neutralization?
Lip neutralization is a specialized cosmetic tattooing technique designed to balance and correct the natural lip tone, particularly for those with cool, dark, or uneven pigmentation. This treatment helps to lighten hyperpigmentation and bring warmth to the lips, creating a more even, vibrant base. It’s especially beneficial for individuals with melanin-rich lips or those affected by scarring, sun damage, or hormonal changes. Over a series of sessions, the lips gradually transform in tone, appearing healthier, brighter, and more youthful—without the need for daily makeup. The result is a naturally enhanced look that complements your skin tone and boosts your confidence.

Medical Conditions: Inform us about any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities you have. This includes cold sores, infections, skin disorders, or any other relevant medical history.
Cold Sores: Please take an antibiotic before your appointment if you are prone or have EVER had any cold sores in your life. Lip Blush Toronto cannot prescribe you an antibiotic or tell you which to get. If you visit your pharmacy they will be able to prescribe you medication to take before your appointment.
Medications: Disclose any medications you are currently taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and supplements. Some medications may affect the healing process or interact with the pigments used during the treatment.
Avoid Blood Thinners: NO COFFEE OR ALCOHOL 24 HOURS BEFORE!! Refrain from consuming blood-thinning substances such as alcohol, aspirin, or ibuprofen at least 24-48 hours before the lip blush tattoo appointment. These substances can increase the risk of bleeding and affect the final result.
Hydration: Ensure that your lips are well-hydrated in the days leading up to the appointment. Drink plenty of water and apply a nourishing lip balm to keep the skin moisturized.
Exfoliation: Gently exfoliate your lips a few days before the treatment to remove any dead skin cells. This helps the pigments adhere better and ensures a more even and long-lasting result.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your lips from excessive sun exposure for at least two weeks before the appointment. Sunburnt or tanned lips can affect the color outcome and the healing process.
Avoid Cosmetic Treatments: Avoid any other cosmetic treatments on or around the lips, such as lip injections or chemical peels, for at least two weeks before the lip blush tattoo appointment.
Clean Lips: On the day of the appointment, ensure that your lips are clean and free of any makeup, lip balm, or other products. The beauty professional will cleanse the area thoroughly before beginning the procedure.

Depending on how you follow pre and post care as well as how your body naturally heals and what your desired results are it is up to you if you would like to come in for a lip neutralization touchup. Lip neutralization may require multiple sessions (2-4) depending on what your goal color is and how dark your lips are as well as you following PRE/POST care. A touch up is recommended every year or so to keep your lips looking fresh depending on how you take care of them & your lifestyle.
