Eyeliner PMU (Permanent Makeup) is a cosmetic tattooing technique that applies pigment to the upper or lower eyelids, creating the look of eyeliner. It’s designed to enhance the lash line and give the appearance of fuller, defined eyes, lasting for several years. Various styles are available, from a natural-looking lash enhancement that subtly darkens the lash line to more dramatic winged or shaded effects.

Medical Conditions: Inform us about any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities you have. Cold Sores: Please take an antibiotic before your appointment if you are prone or have EVER had any cold sores in your life. Lip Blush Toronto cannot prescribe you an antibiotic or tell you which to get. If you visit your pharmacy they will be able to prescribe you medication to take before your appointment. Medications: Disclose any medications you are currently taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and supplements. Some medications may affect the healing process or interact with the pigments used during the treatment. Avoid Blood Thinners: NO COFFEE OR ALCOHOL 24 HOURS BEFORE!! Refrain from consuming blood-thinning substances such as alcohol, aspirin, or ibuprofen at least 24-48 hours before the lip blush tattoo appointment. These substances can increase the risk of bleeding and affect the final result. Hydration: Ensure that your lips are well-hydrated in the days leading up to the appointment. Drink plenty of water and apply a nourishing lip balm to keep the skin moisturized. Exfoliation: Gently exfoliate your lips a few days before the treatment to remove any dead skin cells. This helps the pigments adhere better and ensures a more even and long-lasting result. Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your lips from excessive sun exposure for at least two weeks before the appointment. Sunburnt or tanned lips can affect the color outcome and the healing process. Avoid Cosmetic Treatments: Avoid any other cosmetic treatments on or around the lips, such as lip injections or chemical peels, for at least two weeks before the lip blush tattoo appointment. Clean Lips: On the day of the appointment, ensure that your lips are clean and free of any makeup, lip balm, or other products. The beauty professional will cleanse the area thoroughly before beginning the procedure.
  • Lip Blush & Neutralization After Care
    Avoid any salty, oily, spicy, or citrus food for the first few days. On the day of your appointment, wipe your lips each hour with a cotton round to absorb any fluids, and then apply ointment right after. Do not touch your lips with dirty fingers! Apply the given ointment multiple times a day for at least 10 days after the procedure with either a clean finger or Q-tips provided and pat it in and do not rub. You may ice the area within the first 48 hours, do not put the ice directly on your lips use a barrier, and only keep it on for 10 minutes at a time. Do not smoke while your lips are healing for at least 10 days after your appointment. Do not kiss or rub your lips while your lips are healing. Try not to constantly wipe or lick your lips when eating. Try to sleep on your back elevated for the first night to avoid swelling and use a new pillow case (if possible satin material) Avoid swimming for at least 4 weeks to help avoid infection. Do not whiten teeth while your lips are healing (at least 2 weeks) Do not go into direct sunlight or tanning beds for 4 weeks as this can alter the color of the pigment on your lips. Do not touch or pick at your lips! If you pick at your lips or the scabs this will remove the lip color. Let the scabs fall off naturally. After 10 days, you can wear lip makeup but make sure the product is new. Do not get any facials, Botox, or fillers for at least 4 weeks after the appointment. Do not use any soaps or creams on your lips for 10 days. Avoid wetting your lips for 10 days, when showering, brushing your teeth, etc. put ointment on the area to protect your lips from the water. Drink everything through a straw if possible for one week following the procedure. Avoid stretching the lips too much, and cut food into tiny pieces if needed.

  • How does it work?
    Permanent Makeup is performed with a tattoo machine, a single needle and pigments. In order to implant the pigment onto the lip, we gently scratch the surface of the lip with the needles which will create tiny holes for the pigment to seap through. I go over the area multiple times to slowly build the pigment to your desired results. As I am working, I continue to use a numbing liquid to keep you comfortable. The pigments/inks that are used for cosmetic tattooing and are safe for the face.

  • Do you require a deposit?
    Yes! A deposit of $200.00 is required to confirm your appointment date & time. This is to ensure you are serious about getting the tattoo done and will show up. The deposit is in place to avoid last minute cancellations or reschedules as this procedure does require one to follow pre care instructions and is not easy to fill last minute.
  • Can you overline my lips with the tattoo?
    Due to facial skin being much thicker than lip skin, I do not overline the lips by more than 2mm. Anything outside of 2mm will end up healing unpredictably and much darker than the rest of your lips. It can also look blurred as the tattoo ages. Lip skin is considered anywhere there is thin skin with fine lines, facial skin is where pores begin.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    The deposit is non-refundable and only transferrable one time to another date within 72 hours notice. If you do need to reschedule to another date then you must do so within 4 months of when the deposit was sent for the deposit to be used or it will expire. If you need to reschedule due to Covid-19 symptoms, being exposed or are getting tested, please let me know as soon as possible.

    Yes you can! However, lip blush and lip fillers must be at least 4 weeks apart from each other. Lip blush is amazing for anyone who has lip fillers as the lips tend to become paler in color. Lip Fillers stretch the lip skin and can make the outline of your lips look blurred. Lip blush is perfect for adding color and definition back into the lips that has been lost due to fillers.

Gently exfoliate your lips with with coconut or olive oil, honey and sugar multiple times leading up to your appointment. Use a moisturizing lip balm daily such as aquaphor or eucerin. It is important for your lips to be moisturized as the pigment will not implant nicely on dry skin and can lead to patchy results as well as more pain at your appointment.

When they do peel, it is very quick and only lasts about a day depending on how your body reacts. Due to my gentle technique, the scabbing is very minimal. For lip blush the color continues to heal for 4 weeks and lip neutralization is 8 weeks. It is important to stay patient during this time as the lip color will go through many stages, the results are worth it! For eyeliner/lash line enhancement it takes about 2 weeks to fully heal where the area will lightly scab off.

    With cosmetic tattooing it is usually a two-step process. A touch up is recommended but not required within 3 months of your initial appointment in order to get your desired results. Depending on how you follow PRE/POST care as well as how your body naturally heals and what your desired results are it is up to you if you would like to come in for a lip blush or eyeliner touch up. Lip neutralization may require multiple sessions (2-4) depending on what your goal color is and how dark your lips are as well as you following PRE/POST care. A touch up is recommended every year or so to keep your lips looking fresh depending on how you take care of them & your lifestyle.

    -Apply aftercare serums to the area 2-3 times daily with clean hands -To help with swelling, you can apply cold packs few minutes on and few minutes off (FIRST NIGHT ONLY) -No sleeping on the area until the swelling goes away -No working out or excessive sweating for 5-7 days. You may want to AVOID sweating. -Do not wash the treated area with scented soap, you may use anti-septic soap. -Do not shower with hot water as it may cause irritation for the first few days -No saltwater, no exfoliation, no pools, no waxing or laser services on areas for 14 days -Forbidden to sunbathe or have direct sun exposure on areas for 30-40 days -For the first 30 days, do not use any self tanning products
